FUTURE PEACE AMBASSADORS TO CONVENE IN CDO,PH

"Kabataang kumikilos para sa Kinabukasan"

This is the theme for this years National Youth Ambassador Program for Peace to be held in Cha-li Beach Resort & Conference Center, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro city on May 8-13, 2012.

80 youths all over the Philippines have been selected to become youth ambassadors of peace.

NYAPP 2012 is geared towards empowering young leaders to become effective volunteers for peace in the country.

PeaceTech is a non-profit organization that builds peace among the world’s youth. Peace Tech’s programs include the following: 
a) High-school classes in partnership with the Department of Education;
b) Videoconferences between Muslim and non-Muslim youth in Southeast Asia; 
c) Peace Tech’s youth movement called “PeaceTech Embassy;” 
d) Workshops and; 
e) the PeaceTech online community: www.peacetech.net .

PeaceTech recognizes the need to promote an understanding of the causes and consequences of conflicts in the Philippines and the common challenges young Filipinos face.
