TINAGO FALLS: THE HIDDEN PARADISE DISCOVERED


Tinago Falls is a Tagalog word meaning hidden, the falls cascading beautifully into a basin-like pool, clean, and deep and icy and cold. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Iligan, a city known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls.

GETTING THERE:

It is 13 km away from the city proper. 

From the city proper, take a Buru-un route Public Utility Jeepney. Ask the jeepney driver to drop you at the Buru-un Market. Minimum fare is P20.00

From there, take a motorcycle/habal-habal and ask the driver to take you to Tinago Falls. Minimum fare is P30.00-50.00 

     
If by cab: 
From the city proper, minimum fare is P250-300.

OTHER FEES:

ILIGAN PEACETECHIES JOIN PEACE WALK

Iligan City-Hundreds of Iliganon gathered at the city public plaza early on the morning of July 1 to join the Rotary Walk for Peace. The Rotary Club of Iligan District 3870 organized the said activity.

The theme of the walk is The Tri-People of Lanao Working as One Under Peace and aims to showcase the unity between the Christians, Muslims, and Lumads of Iligan City and Marawi City.

“This is a better way to start off a new Rotary Year (RY), with the theme, 'Peace through Service,' joining together the two cities for a walk for peace,” expressed District Governor George Hamoy.
